What happens if my child is injured while at a DBA event?

DBA does have full insurance coverage for all programs and teams.  Each player must sign and complete a DBA registration form which includes a liability form. I have read and fully understand that in case of accident while at any DBA function I authorize the DBA staff to act in securing medical treatment, and I hereby release DBA and all DBA coaches of any and all liability.

What is the DBA Cancellation Policy?

For DBA Camps a 15 day advanced notice must be given to recieve a refund.  Cancelled Camps do to inclement weather that can not be rescheduled, DBA will issue a program credit for the canceled session.  No reunds will be given due to weather related cancellations. For DBA Lessons 4 hours of notification must be given to cancel lessons. A $35.00 cancellation fee will apply to all canceled camps, as well as canceled lessons inside of the 4 hour window.

What happens if my son get hurt during a Dragons season?

Injured Dragons players remain on the team for the duration of the year, and hopes that they will be able to return to the field.  Once the season has begun with the first practice if you are injured you are obligated to all Dragons registration form requirements including full payment.  If your injury is a season ending incident, the Dragons program may reserve the right to fill your spot on the roster.

Is DBA open on the weekend?

DBA is open during all scheduled office hours.  Which are Mon – Fri 11 am – 7 pm.  Any activities outside of our office hours must be scheduled in advance.  Saturday and Sundays and after 7 pm on weekdays are by appt only.  We accept lessons, rentals, etc from 7 am – 10 pm on the weekends.

How do I rent the facility for my team and what comes with the rental?

Simply call the DBA office at 703-339-6893 to set up your rental time.  You will get a rental quote from a DBA staff member which will depend on the following… Number of players, how much time, how many sessions.  You get all access to DBA equipment while at the facility.  Gloves, balls, screens, pitching machine, pitching mounds, etc.

What other sports can your facility accomodate?

The DBA facility is flexible to other sports.  While we mainly house practices for baseball and softball programs.  We can accomodate youth soccer, cheerleading, and other sports as well.

What travel baseball programs do you offer?

We run travel teams from Age 10u – 17u.  Our 10u/11u/12u travel programs are called the DBA Seminoles which began in 2011.  Our 13u/14u/Varsity and Showcase programs are called the DBA Dragons which began in 2004.  We hold open tryouts for each team in the spring and in the fall.  Tryouts are open to all players.

What experience does your staff have?

All of our DBA instructors are former HS/College and Minor League baseball Players.  Many of our coaches also currently coach at the HS level, as well as the travel level.  You can view each coaches bio on our intructors page.

What is the difference between Professional Lessons and ODL Lessons?

Professional Lesson are instructed by our full time DBA staff members, of which you can see there bio’s on the instructors page.  These lessons are open to players of all ages.  ODL lessons are intructed by Dragons players currently on the Showcase Dragons team.  These are HS players preparing for college baseball.  These lessons are available to players 14 and younger, and are offered at a discounted rate.

IF I buy a 20 lesson package can I spread out the lessons over time?

All credits, whether it be private lesson packages, camp credits, etc.  Have a 1 year expiration date.  For Example… If you sign up for a 10 pack of lessons and only choose to do 5 lessons initially your other lessons will stay on the book for 1 calendar year from the date you paid for them.  If for some reason you were unable to conduct your lessons within that time frame do to personal injury or DBA limited availability, exceptions can be made.
